Egham asks for office signage more than shop signage

What Egham businesses ask us for is different from the towns around it. There is a high street, but the bulk of the enquiries are for office signage: door signs, wall mounted signs, reception logos and the wayfinding that gets a visitor from the car park to the right desk. That follows the shape of the town. Egham sits at junction 13 of the M25 with the A30 running through it, and the office buildings along that corridor and out towards Staines are where most of the work is.

Office signage is usually a set rather than a single item, and the set has to agree with itself. The name on the door, the sign on the wall behind reception and the panel at the lift all need the same colour, the same typeface and the same finish, or the building looks like it was fitted out in three separate jobs. We make all of it in our own workshop, so it is.

Bespoke sign printing, done in house

The second thing Egham asks for is printing: bespoke printed signs, banners and boards to a customer's own artwork. We print and finish these in the Bracknell workshop rather than sending them out, which matters for two reasons. Colour is matched across the whole batch, so a run of ten panels for ten doors comes out identical. And the artwork is kept on file, so a single replacement panel two years later prints to the same specification as the originals.

If you have artwork ready, send it over with sizes and we will quote from it. If you do not, our design studio will draw it, lay it over photographs of the space so you can see it in place, and only then print it.

Wall graphics and wallpaper graphics

Printed wall graphics have become one of the most common requests from Egham offices and studios, usually to brand a reception wall, a meeting room or a gym without the cost of a built sign. We survey the wall first, because the finish of the surface decides the material: a smooth painted wall, a textured wall and a glass partition each take a different film. Then we print, supply and apply it as one job, so the graphic is fitted by the people who printed it.

Where the brief is a full wall or a whole corridor, printed wallpaper graphics are the better route, and the same survey tells us which.

Fitting in an occupied office

Most Egham installs happen in buildings that are open and working, and often in buildings run by a landlord or managing agent who controls access. Our fitters hold CSCS, IPAF and PASMA accreditation, which is what most managing agents will ask to see before letting anyone work at height or on a shared elevation. Internal work is scheduled around the office day, with evening and weekend fitting where a reception cannot be out of use during trading hours.

Egham is in Runnymede, in Surrey, and about half an hour from Bracknell along the A30, so it sits inside our routine working radius rather than at the edge of it.
