Retail Stores

First impressions count and image is everything. We make sure your brand is instantly recognisable and that your signage does the job it is there to do, which is to bring people through the door and then help them find what they came for once they are inside.

We design, manufacture and install retail signage for single stores, independent shops and multi-site retail groups across the UK. Everything is made in our own workshop, so a rollout across twenty branches comes out of the same production run and matches on every site.

Retail Signage We Design and Install

Exterior and fascia signage. Illuminated fascia signs, built-up letters, flat-cut acrylic and metal letters, tray signs, projecting signs and hanging signs. This is what gets you noticed from the pavement and from across the car park.

Interior signage and wayfinding. Department signs, aisle and bay markers, hanging ceiling signs, directional arrows, fitting room and till point signage. Good wayfinding reduces the number of customers who give up and walk out.

Window graphics and promotional displays. Printed vinyl, cut lettering, frosted film, one-way vision and full window wraps for seasonal campaigns, sale periods and new season launches. Removable options mean you can change the message without damaging the glass.

Point of sale and shelf-edge graphics. Counter graphics, shelf-edge strips, hanging danglers, freestanding display units and promotional headers, printed to your campaign artwork.

Illuminated and 3D signage. LED-illuminated built-up letters, halo-lit lettering, lightboxes and internally illuminated fascias, built to give an even light rather than the patchy output cheaper units produce.

Health, safety and statutory signage. Fire exit, capacity, accessibility and staff-only signage produced to the required specification, so a store passes inspection without a scramble.

Signage for Multi-Site Retail Rollouts

If you are opening or refitting several stores, the difficulty is rarely the signs themselves. It is keeping every site consistent while each one has slightly different dimensions, fixings and landlord conditions.

We handle that by surveying each site individually, producing a per-site drawing pack, then manufacturing the whole batch together so colours and materials match exactly. Installation is scheduled around your trading hours, including evening and overnight fits where a store cannot be closed during the day. Our fitters hold CSCS, IPAF and PASMA accreditation for working on site and at height, which is what most retail landlords and shopping centre managers will ask for before they let anyone on the fascia.

Materials and Manufacture

The right material depends on where the sign is going. Exterior fascias generally call for aluminium or powder-coated composite panels, which hold their finish through British weather. Acrylic is the usual choice for built-up letters where you want depth and a clean edge, and for illuminated work where light needs to diffuse evenly. Interior signage has more freedom, so brushed stainless, foamex, dibond, timber and printed vinyl all come into play depending on the look you are after.

We fabricate all of this in-house on industry-leading machinery, which means we can match a specific brand colour, cut a non-standard shape or reproduce an existing sign that no longer has artwork.

Retail Signage FAQs

How long does retail signage take from approval to installation? It depends on the sign type and whether planning consent is needed. Simple vinyl and printed graphics turn around quickly. Illuminated built-up letters take longer because each letter is fabricated individually. We will give you a firm timescale with your quote rather than a rough guess.

Do I need permission for a new shop sign? Often, yes. Most exterior signage on a commercial property needs advertisement consent from the local council, and illuminated signage almost always does. If the building is listed or in a conservation area there are further requirements. We will flag what applies to your site when we survey it.

Can you match our existing store signage? Yes. Send us photographs and any measurements, or we will come and survey the existing sign. We can reproduce the same specification even where the original artwork has been lost.

Do you work with retailers outside Berkshire? Yes. We are based in Bracknell but we design, manufacture and install nationwide, and we have delivered projects internationally.

Can you fit signage outside trading hours? Yes. Evening, overnight and Sunday installations are routine for retail work, and we schedule around your opening times.

Do you handle the artwork if we only have a logo? Yes. Our design team will lay the signage out over photographs of your actual store, so you can see the finished result before anything is manufactured.
